General Manager for Dairy Production Plant
We are looking to hire general manager to lead the overall management and operations activities of a Dairy Production Plant Baghdad – Iraq. The GM will be responsible for restructuring and developing of the plant, as well as for planning, organizing, directing, and running optimum day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
- Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
- Collect metrics, analyze productivity, and set performance targets in alignment of review and cost goals
- Build effective working relationships with clients and suppliers to support alignment and better understanding of their perspectives. Use that knowledge and relationships to strengthen our commercial position.
- Lead role in advising around pricing for commercial contracts
- Monitor productions and trigger corrective actions when and as needed.
- Upgrade production machines and increase production lines to reach 100% utilization of the plant production capacity.
- Ensure risk mitigation through adherence to quality standards
- Provide commercial assurance through forecasting, project review as required and identification of issues giving rise to commercial risk
- Implementing robust safety and security procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Directs and manage support functions including, finance, supply chain, marketing, quality assurance and human resources.

المهارات
- Proven work experience in similar position for at least 10 years, out of which 5 years in production and operations
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
- Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
- Excellent leadership qualities
- Advanced negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management abilities
- Computer literacy
