Job Description
Job Title: Engineer IIIa (Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)
Job Purpose: To provide engineering services focused on the design and creation of developing and deploying Computer Vision/Image Processing and Artificial Intelligence technology and applications that are required for fulfilling company mission.
The candidate will conduct basic and applied research for the development of Computer Vision/Image Processing and Artificial Intelligence applications within the field of unmanned air vehicle technology.
Perform engineering tasks related to the planning, design, build, test, and maintenance of Computer Vision/Image Processing and Artificial Intelligence applications used in unmanned aircraft including requirements management and product performance verification.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
Creating, designing, and implementing complex sensor network system/algorithm data into computer vision systems.
Designing algorithms and experiments to improve existing computer vision models focusing on tracking capabilities and object detection.
Designing system architecture from the ground up alongside engineers from related disciplines.
Collaborating with hardware, back-end, embedded, and software teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters or PhD in Computer Science / Engineering or related field focus on computer vision research and deep learning.
Experience investigating, designing, prototyping, and productizing new and innovative computer vision system solutions.
Knowledge of GPU programming (CUDA or OpenCL) on GPU accelerator architectures.
Experience with camera bring-up and ISP pipeline configuration.
