Senior Risk Manager
Job Description
The Senior Risk Manager in Digital Assets is accountable for all matters relating to product risk management of digital assets at in order to protect the bank and its customers. This requires close collaboration with the commercial & product teams, including the evaluation and approval of new products, services and processes involving digital assets (cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, decentralized finance and tokenized assets).
As a member of the Digital Asset Risk Management Team, you will be tasked to marshal a robust, risk-sensitive, and unified risk management view on and response to new cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, decentralized finance initiatives, tokenized assets and strategic partnerships. You will focus on the oversight,
identification, monitoring and reporting of key risks related to digital assets and report those to the Heads of Digital Assets & Risk Management.
RESPONSBILITIES:
-Marshal a robust, risk-sensitive, and unified risk management view (i.e., operational risks, financial risks compliance/regulatory risks) and response to new digital asset initiatives, pilots, regulations, proof of concepts and strategic partnerships
-Participate in the evaluation of new cryptocurrencies, stablecoins and decentralized finance products and services in the UAE and around the world
-Develop, manage, implement, and continuously update the risk monitoring approaches for digital assets
-Closely follow and assess the impact of developments in international, regional, and national regulations and policies relating to digital asset business
-Participate in the initiation of new collaborations with exchange platforms and other institutions for digital asset business
Support the departments in the introduction of new products, services, and processes
