JOB PURPOSE:

Business Services Performance measured in its reliability and resilience is key to be monitored adequately and any degradation arising out of latency issues, any bottleneck., resource shortages, spikes in volume etc. swiftly identified and addressed, to ensure from a customer point of view FAB’s systems are systems of trust, which are always available, reliable, and resilient to support customer serviceability

As part of 2nd LoD Monitoring, VP – Business Service Availability Monitoring & Site Reliability will be accountable for ensuring and enabling adequate performance monitoring of critical customer facing business services as part of FAB’s BCM Strategy.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Key Accountability

Improve FAB; s reliability and resilience maturity from reactive state to become proactive and establish ability to rapidly diagnose and report issues to business and IT teams
Identify Customer critical systems with frequent incidents and enable for enhanced APM
Enable Finetuning of APM configurations and Coverage based on statistical performance data
Oversee monitoring and reporting of issues to appropriate internal stakeholders during incidents
Enable indicators for Problem management by IT, based on data analysed in BSAM

Job Context

Map and Identify Critical Business Services and Dependent business systems
Identify with Business, Most critical user journeys for these critical services and flow
Identify Critical Network Devices in the sequence flow
Tactically enable and increase coverage of systems to be configured in tools and systems for monitoring applications performance and network capacity / performance in the sequence of business flow

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Qualification

Should have engineering degree or master’s in computer science or equivalent in related domain
Certification like CISSP, CISM/CISA is a must. PCI Implementation experience & related certification is desired
Exposure in handling end to end – Infrastructure, Networks, Applications and Security implementation for large enterprises is critical to identify end to end business implementation flows.
Possess good Project Management and Strategic skills
Highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written
Knowledge of ISO27001, ISO 22301 standards and security best practices.

Minimum Experience

10 years’ relevant experience in the areas of re-architecting and systems deployments for achieving improved reliability, resilience and performance capabilities covering technology infrastructure, network & security components, application design etc with at least 3 years banking domain experience
Good understanding of business continuity, site reliability, and resilience and performance concepts.
Exposure in banking industry, associated risks, emerging technology, and compliance standard.
Aware of key technology risks / potential weakness from availability, resilience perspective
