We are looking for an Export Control and Project Manager.

Your Role

Your role is to be the responsible Export Control Manager for Saab Ltd, and also Project Manager for specific projects.

You will be accountable for all Saab Ltd export control compliance and processes
Support and guide development projects in product classification
Manage export control training for Saab Ltd employees to ensure overall company competence
Communicate and establish relations to local authorities, and other export control manager within Saab
Manage projects from start to finish
Work together with all Saab Ltd functions and projects
The role is divided into a function responsibility for export control, and project management role with responsibility for budget, recruitments, objectives and performance, planning, administration and satisfied customers.

Your skills and experience

It is advantageous if you experience from leading positions within the Supply chain and manufacturing area, and it is equally important that you have a desire to be a part of continued build-up of the entity and operation in the UAE.

You have strong business understanding, customer focus and skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions
You have proven ability to take decisions to improve profitability
You are curious and inspired by new challenges
You have a well-developed understanding and cooperation skills supporting different cultures.
You have a good ability to manage and refine processes.
You are a team player supporting and helping the entire company.

Requirements for this role are:

Minimum 5 years of experience from export control management responsibilities, for at least dual use products
Minimum 5 years of experience in classification of products from an export control perspective
Experience of working with UAE export control regulations, and good knowledge of other countries export regulations, e.g. US and Europe
Proven extensive experience of leadership, cooperation and teamwork
Experience in performing export control trainings
Minimum 5 years of experience from managing projects in accordance a well-recognized standard
Minimum 3 years of experience from supply chain and manufacturing
You are a driven person with the ability to generate energy and leads in accordance to Saab values
You have appropriate professional or postgraduate qualification in a business oriented or technical discipline and you have excellent skills in spoken and written English
You have experience from work in accordance to a certified management system (processes)
Driver’s license
Merit is experience from additive manufacturing (3D printing)
Merit is knowledge of ERP systems for managing export controlled information
Another merit is Arabic in contacts with authorities

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is one of these key customer countries where Saab has now increased its presence by initiating the local development and production of different products.

You will become part of this new Saab Company, which operates in Tawazun Industrial Park, northeast of the Abu Dhabi, UAE.
