It is the primary responsibility of the Recreation Services Manager to oversee the daily operations of the pool facility and department. The manager will monitor the operations to ensure guest satisfaction and compliance with applicable health, safety and hygiene standards. All duties are to be performed in accordance with the department and company’s policies, practices and procedures.

Oversees the daily operation of the Pool departments and ensures the highest level of service is provided to all guests; ensures the aesthetic environment of the department is consistent with the guest experience standards; may be involved in escalated issues or special requests to expedite the resolution of problems and ensure customer satisfaction.

Monitors the departments’ operations to ensure compliance with applicable health, safety and hygiene standards; ensures all Southern Nevada Health Department regulations are adhered to; ensures compliance with all code requirements for employee certifications, permits and licenses; oversees the overall maintenance and repair of all equipment.

Manages and oversees the departments’ fiscal budgets, constantly monitoring inventory and rates to yield maximum occupancy, while controlling labor and other costs to maximize profitability.

Manages the Human Resources responsibilities for the department to include: hiring/firing, training, issuing disciplines of employees, and ensures the proper documentation of all actions taken

Researches and evaluates new services, products, technologies, and trends for customer preferences; researches and evaluates suppliers and vendors for pool based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, reputation, and history; evaluates and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Works with Training to develop, design, implement, coordinate, and maintain Pool safety programs and training.

Assists in overseeing Spa and Salon operations, when necessary.

Works with the Director of Spa-Salon Operations on marketing strategies to enhance customer loyalty, brand awareness and identify potential markets.

Perform other job-related duties as requested.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Two (2) years of relevant experience
PREFERRED:

Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
* Three (3) years of supervisory experience
