Job Description
Responsibilities
Main Purpose
The purpose of this job is to drive the Environmental Health & Safety performance excellence with regards to culture & compliance to PepsiCo standards & local regulations across .West Cairo including Fleet Workshops (LD&T, HR, Facilities, etc.). In addition, the role will require coordination with other business units such as Sales to ensure the implementation of EHS systems & programs.
Accountabilities
Lead & align West Cairo DCs operation teams to deliver step change improvements in EHS KPIs.
Conduct & review/update of risk assessment (for the workplace & task hazard analysis) across all operations & work locations. Develop timely action plans to implement adequate risk controls.
Establish, update & ensure implementation of Tier 4 (site-specific) EHS programs & working practices to ensure compliance with PepsiCo's Global Environmental, Health and Safety Management System (policies & procedures).
Ensure EHS documentaion (documents & records) are updated, adequately communicated/accessible to all relevant stakeholders, & managed through a document control system.
Establish & maintain an EHS Compliance Calendar; for tracking goals & metrics, conducting EHS monitoring & reporting, & tracking legislation & permit requirements.
Consult with medical department regarding any injured employee(s) & managing their to return to work.
Investigate root causes of incidents including all injuries & illness occurring across West Cairo DCs/Workshops. Identify adequate corrective/preventive actions to prevent recurrence. Ensure incidents are properly & timely reported according to Pepsico standard.
Ensure with key stakeholders (LD&T, Workshops, HR, Facilities etc.) changes are managed under adequate Management of Change (MoC) to ensure compliance with Pep EHS standards.
Ensure adequate & robust governance systems are in place to improve performance & ensure regulatory compliance. Ensure periodic reviews/update of existing EHS standards, programs & practices.
Lead implementation of EHS programs, processes & policies across West Cairo DCs/Workshops including:
Partner with HR team to manage new hires onboarding.
Lead & update the risk assessment & task hazard analysis on annual basis.
Define adequate EHS working practices.
Identify all potential emergency situations. Liase with all functions across West Cairo DCs to develop emergency response, business continuity & contingency plans. Follow up on implementation of emergency provisions & conducting the required emergency drills.
Participate in formal EHS reviews of West Cairo DCs network, selection & qualification of new DCs (owned/rented/3PL) across Alex & Canal region, & changes in site processes.
Lead EHS continuous improvement of West Cairo DCs EHS performance through monitoring KPIs, trend analysis, benchmarking, auditing & supporting operations in setting action plans & ensuring their implementation.
Define & implement EHS inspections across all the EHS levels on regular intervals & report findings & action plans on myEHS.
Liase with PPGA to conduct communications with external EHS governmental parties related to West Cairo DCs such as Labour Office, Civil Defense & Environmental Protection Agency.
Conduct routine DCs EHS performance reviews & corrective/preventive action plans with relevant functions to highlight critical to EHS risks, monitor action plan closure, share incidents alerts, etc. Elevate engagement & drive positive performance as per AOP targets & DCs EHS priorities.
Build strong EHS capabilities across West Cairo DCs EHS & operation teams. Assess capability, identify gap & execute training & development programs. Coach, motivate & recognize individuals & teams in assigned locations.
Ensure timely, effective & objective Performance Management process for their EHS direct report. Conduct performance reviews, appraisals & career discussions.

Qualifications
Key Skills/Experience Required
4+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) experience in a similar industry is required
Experience in F&B manufacturing / warehousing environment is preferred
Professional EHS certification is preferred
Functional EHS knowledge in local & international regulatory requirements, EHS technical aspects (safety, industrial hygiene, environmental), risk management, behavior-based safety, training, auditing / program review, regulatory agency enforcement, vendor / consultant management, business knowledge required
Bachelor of Science / Engineering is preferred
Fluent Arabic is required. Good English is preferred
Strong computer skills & knowledge of Microsoft Office (powerpoint, excel, etc.)
