Key Qualifications
– Minimum 5 years proven experience managing trade compliance activities.- Strong preference working for a global organization, preferably in high tech.- Expertise in HTS classification, customs valuation and country of origin for import and export.- Solid understanding of GCC customs compliance and trade regulations.- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic, both oral and written. Other languages are an advantage.- Ability to partner, influence and educate cross-functional teams. Self-motivated, capable of multi-tasking and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
Description
– Support the management of customs and trade compliance operations of Apple in the KSA, Kuwait and surrounding region, including co-ordination of customs broker companies. Ability to engage as the primary point of contact for local Customs and other regulatory authorities. – Manage the successful delivery of projects ensuring technical excellence and a practical/business driven approach is taken. – Provide daily operational support in the clearance of goods and shipments. – Understand and manage a highly automated customs clearance process. Develop processes and reporting in line with Apple's business requirements for continuing improvements in supply chain. – Ability to work with various levels of management and articulate information to satisfy inquiries. – Ability to manage and operate customs formalities in FTZ and other bonded zones.
Education & Experience
– Bachelor or Master Degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade or a related field.
