Budgeting and Planning:
· Stay abreast with the market directions and latest trends and business and operational excellence
· Forecast and plan the sales targets and gross profit (GP) for his/her respective sales line (i.e. Co-ops & Tamween, Corporate Sales, and HoReCa & Key Accounts) in collaboration with the Sales Director
· Assist the Sales Director in setting, preparing and monitoring the annual budget, operating plan, selling prices, promotions and discounts for his/her respective sales line (i.e. Co-ops & Tamween, Corporate Sales, and HoReCa & Key Accounts)
· Plan and maintain department/unit work systems, procedures, and policies that enable and encourage optimum performance of employees and other resources while ensuring control and consistency
Employee Development:
· Monitor and perform annual performance review for subordinates and conduct performance evaluation report on a periodic basis or as and when required
· Lead, manage and motivate the sales team to ensure that they are properly trained and monitored to meet all sales targets while adhering to the required standards
· Identify the manpower and training needs of the department and coordinate with the Sales Director to hire, develop and retain an effective sales team in collaboration with the HR Manager
Operational Responsibilities:
· Assist in developing and implementing new business initiatives and sales strategies and monitor their effectiveness
· Execute sales strategies, plans and monitor all sales activities
· Identify potential business and sales growth, opportunities in his/her respective areas (Coops, KA, HoReCa, and Corporate)
· Communicate the sales strategies/targets to the sales team in his/her respective areas (Coops, KA, HoReCa, and Corporate) and motivate them to achieve the same
· Set yearly, monthly, customer and product-wise sales targets and monitor the progress of target achievements
· Initiate, renew. update and cancel agreements/contracts for the respective sales line (Coops, KA, HoReCa, and Corporate) while ensuring the proper documentation of same, including supporting documents
· Increase/lower prices based on competitions, seasons, market trends, supply and demand
· Ensure effective documentation of all sales records, payments, invoices as well as input and output quantities
· Manage & motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets
· Develop and implement contingency plan and identify appropriate measures to avoid damages, waste and thefts
· Conduct regular and random checks on the sales operations of his/her area of sales
· Coordinate with production, logistics, business development, and finance to ensure the availability of products as per the sales strategies and plans
· Follow up on collections and settlement of payments due against goods delivered
· Oversee company’s sales growth by evaluating sales reports and capitalizing on particular products/services
· Analyze sales data – reporting growth, expansion, changes in markets, seasonal demands, etc.
· Identify, verify, report and justify price violations
· Verify the various sales promotions on the system according to each type of product, sales channel and location
· Ensure the training and development needs of the sales staff are met
· Ensure the proper retail standards and tools (e.g. stands, freezers, roll-ups, flyers, product catalogs, brochures, etc.) are in place to manage the sales activities for his/her respective sales line (Coops, KA, HoReCa, and Corporate)
· Attend conferences, meetings, and industry related networking events to enhance the market awareness and have exposure to the latest market trends and needs (regionally and internationally)
· Prepare, review and present department reports (i.e. daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually or upon request from the top management) to Sales Director
· Ensure adherence to the respective laws and regulations in his/her respective sales line (Coops, KA, HoReCa, and Corporate)
· Stay up to date with the latest market trends and competitors’ performance
· Stay abreast with the latest health, safety and food regulations in Kuwait
· Ensure maintenance of highest standards of professional conduct, ethics and integrity in provision of the services
· Perform any other relevant work assigned by the department head

Required Qualifications and Skills
· Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
· 10+ years of experience, with a minimum of 7 years of similar experience to the responsibilities of this job
· Proficient user of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, CRM software and relevant software applications
· In-depth understanding of company products, customer needs, competitors and market positioning
· Awareness of sales protocols and commercial laws and regulations in Kuwait
· Awareness of local health, safety and food regulations
· Ability to set and meet sales targets, and adapt to the changing parameters as well as customer needs
· Professional certifications (Preferred)
