To oversee the running of Warehouse / Distribution Center
daily operations function tasks including planning, organizing, directing and controlling the operation activities to ensure all preparation and packaging is compliant to company guidelines & regulations ,
monitor the performance of the Warehouse / DC as it relates to quality, safety, productivity, cost control, service to sales, labor, employee training and leadership development.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
1 Oversee daily workflow including coordination of workflow, order fulfilment, stock replenishment, and warehouse inventory for 1st and 2nd shifts Provide daily and comprehensive report on each function
2 Plan work schedule and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads Achievement of daily plan objectives in terms of time & scale
3 Interview, hire, train/retrain, track performance, reward, discipline, address department complaints and quickly resolve employee concerns Hire/Fire Report
4 Measure & report on the effectiveness of the department activities. Monthly reports
5 Develop and maintain departmental work instructions for all tasks.
6 Establish and update work procedures to meet warehouse demands as dictated by demand schedules and workflow.
7 Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
8 Recommend measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department and work crew and equipment performance.
9 Develop and implement internal logistics processes to include FIFO, material flow, warehouse layouts and emergency stock replenishment Inventory / stock reports
10 Adhere to the safety rules/regulations/objectives. Provide leadership to warehouse team to ensure safe working practices, promoting safety awareness. Incident reports
11 Maintain control on product wastage/shrinkage Product wastage & shrinkage report
12 Ensure the adherence to procedures and standard business practices for Distribution Centre related operations including internal control standards.
13 Develop competencies/skillsets/leadership of subordinates and the entire Warehouse / DC team; provide them with objectives, tools, and information necessary to execute the job competently with minimum guidance. Develop the successor and back-up plan.
14 Supervise and motivate the team members to achieving continuous improvement in customer satisfaction, increased synergy spirit to enhance speed, communication, consistency, and accuracy in dealing with customer inquiries, orders, delivery, and customer complaints. Productivity report
