About the position:
The Project manager is responsible to implement delegated project portfolio ensuring a quality, holistic and needs based approach, and representing AVSI at coordination forums, as delegated from the CR, as well to maximize the support to AVSI CR.
Role and responsibilities:
Project:
- Line management for project staff
· Conduct regular staff meetings with direct line reports
Ensure capacity building of technical staff
- Coordinate and manage project implementation (activities, budget and project documentation) in line with proposal, strategies and donor requirements
- Implement technical direction and ensure high technical quality of projects
- Develop and manage project budget in coordination with operation department
- Coordinate planning and implementation of activities with other AVSI jordan departments (MEAL, HR, Logistics)
- Coordinate the partnership with the other consortium member and with local partners
Organization development:
· Compliance and adherence to AVSI policies, guidance and procedures
Provide specific input relevant for AVSI Jordan strategy
· Conduct regular coordination meetings with direct staff to ensure mainstreaming of sectoral components such as livelihoods, protection, etc.
Representation:
· Represent AVSI in working and coordination groups and other interactions with stakeholders when requested by the CR
- Maintain relations and collaboration with relevant stakeholders in Jordan such as other humanitarian agencies and donors in coordination with CR
Grants:
· Compliance to donor standards and regular reporting to donor (grants assigned)
Ensure compliance with contractual commitments and extracting and implementing key learnings from project implementation (grants assigned)
· Contribute to country proposal development, identify donor needs / donor challenges
Coordinating with donors, agencies and other organizations to identify funding opportunities
