JOB TITLE: SENIOR ENGINEER – PLANNING

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop Project Controls Procedures.
Prepare detailed proposal / project schedules using best industry practices including schedule basis.
Analyze project total float and highlight critical path and sub-critical paths.
Assess Project Controls staffing requirements and coordinate with Department for timely mobilization / demobilization of resources.
Develop progress measurement system and prepare project S-curves for all individual engineering disciplines, procurement, construction, and completion.
Carry out schedule risk analysis and schedule assurance check.
Analyze ITT documents and Scope of work.
Loading of resources in Primavera P6 schedule.
Setting up of the Technical Document Register (TDR) and Project Procurement Tracking Register (PTR).
Analyze Fabrication / Construction subcontractor schedule offers and integrate into overall project schedule.
Manage schedule workshop and review with lead disciplines and integrate comments in the schedule.
Collate commodity information from discipline engineers and prepare commodity curves.
Prepare detailed (level 4) plans for specific critical activities drawn from the Level 3 Schedule.
Review and integration of TQs and Client comments.
Communicate on project schedule objectives.
Carry out schedule risk analysis and schedule assurance check.
Cash-flow preparation in line with proposal schedule.
Perform any other work as and when directed by the PCM or proposal manager.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Experience in EPC project execution covering Planning and Scheduling, Progress measurement and Reporting.
Ability to lead Planning efforts and coordinate with discipline leads and proposal management team.
Comprehensive understanding of Work Breakdown Structure and project Coding structures.
Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals.
Knowledge and extensive work experience on Project Planning software including Primavera P6, Schedule Risk Analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
A minimum of 10-15 years’ experience in Oil and gas, Mining and Minerals, Power Plant, Offshore Platform or other Energy industry portfolio out of which 5-8 years should be in Planner role.
