Job Summary:
Support BORDA Jordan Country Office In improving the capacity of the governmental, public, and community-based institutions in matters related to the water, sanitation, suitability, and other relevant fields
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop a capacity-building strategy in coordination with the Project Manager and Country Director
|
- Identify the key stakeholders and key actors within Jordan water, sanitation, and sustainability sector
|
- Coordinate with appropriate stakeholders in all aspects of project planning, monitoring, and implementation for all capacity-building activities.
|
- Provide technical support to the Project Manager/ line manager in the areas of work planning need assessment, training plan development, and training evaluation reports
|
- Develop capacity-building programs for the current year and develop a monthly implementation plan based on the needs assessment report,
|
- Develop, review and maintain tailor-made training material, presentations, workshops, agenda, and other reports in line with best practice
|
- Participate in monitoring, evaluating, and periodic reporting related to capacity-building activities according to the approved plan
|
- Monitor and review progress in the implementation of capacity building activities, including design of evaluation frameworks (whether internal or out-sourced), evaluating with beneficiaries participating in capacity-building activities
|
- Coordinate services provided by the program to support the design and delivery of capacity-building actions (experts, trainers, training institutions)
|
- Work closely, with selected local partners to ensure adequate capacity is built in various areas of the program as required
|
- Develop and maintain training guidelines and procedures as needed
|
- Develop Knowledge management documents such as factsheets, SOPs, lessons learnt and other documents according to requirements and BORDA Templates
|
|
- Develop training activities work plans that include assignment of responsibilities among team members and deadlines based on the capacity building plan
|
- Prepare, review and maintain budget estimates for training activities for the capacity building program
|
- Participate in the recruitment and selection of consultants, trainers and/or community volunteers to assist in implementing the capacity-building programs in the targeted community
|
- Support in developing the Means of Verification (MoVs) reports required for any project under BORDA
|
- Present BORDA on the field as well as acting as a focal point for relevant national/sub-national and local entities as required and allocated.

Educational and Professional Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or any related field, TOT is a plus
Required Work Experience
Minimum of [5-9] Years of experience in water, sanitation projects, or solid waste management
