Job Summary

The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Coordinator working for Leaders International for Economic Development, is a full-time position based in Jordan. The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Coordinator will play a vital role in assisting the MEL Manager to design, implement, and manage the monitoring and evaluation systems of Leaders International projects.

Task and Responsibilities

  • Support the Implementation and Monitoring of the activities of the different projects.
  • Support in the planning, logistics, and implementation of events & workshops.
  • Support the implementation of the Monitoring work plan and MEL activities of LI projects.
  • Contribute to identifying learning subjects in the contexts of implementation of the monitoring activities above including collecting further information required for their dissemination.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a comprehensive MEL framework, including indicators, data collection tools, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of baseline, midline, and endline assessments to track program progress and impact.
  • Participate in data collection, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data from various sources, including beneficiaries, partners, and project staff.
  • Support data entry, cleaning, and management processes, maintaining organized and secure databases.
  • Assist in analyzing collected data, identifying trends, and generating regular reports to inform decision-making.
  • Contribute to the preparation of presentations and reports showcasing MEL findings for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with data protection and ethical standards throughout the MEL process.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of data visualization tools and dashboards to enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Participate in field visits to verify data, assess program implementation, and provide support to program staff.
  • Contribute to the documentation of lessons learned, best practices, and success stories to inform program improvement.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and developments in MEL to provide fresh insights and ideas to the team.
  • Support the MEL Manager in other relevant tasks as required.

Qualification, Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as monitoring and evaluation, statistics, social sciences, international development, projects management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation and/or learning with experience collecting and analyzing data.
  • Familiar with the process of designing and implementing M&E systems and developing indicators for international development projects.
  • Five (5) years of professional relevant work experience required, predominantly in international development or related work.
  • Experience demonstrated collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data using methods.
  • Experience in working with livelihood projects.
  • Prior experience in working with MEL teams and supporting the MEL department
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) required.
  • Fluency in Arabic and professional proficiency in English required.
  • Analyzing using different analyzing systems and planning and delivering results
