What will you do in this position?
Under the supervision of the Administrative& Facilities Assistant, the Driver will safe and efficient and safe transportation of authorized personnel/ or commodities. The Project is funded by USAID.

How can you make a difference?
In this position, you will have to:
- Maintain the vehicle in a suitable state of cleanliness on a daily basis (inside and outside).
- Ensure the daily routine control of the vehicle (checking the oil level, water, battery, brakes, etc).
- Systematically and without delay report any breakdowns found on the vehicle.
- Strictly respect the vehicle's maintenance/maintenance deadlines.
- Record and log all vehicle movements and fuel supplies each day in the logbook.
- Report accidents/incidents affecting the vehicle without delay.
- Carry only duly authorized persons on board the vehicle.
- Keep the vehicle's parts up to date.
- Keep track of the tools provided on board the vehicle.
- Respect the traffic regulations (speed limits etc.).
- Test the communication equipment installed on the vehicle and inform the Administration and ICT of any anomalies found.
- Ensure that the vehicle is thoroughly washed, including the underbody, and provide maintenance services (oil changes, etc.) periodically.
- Provide pick-up at the airport for WFP staff and official visitors or other points of entry and provide assistance with the usual formalities (visa, customs, check point) if necessary.
- Prepare the vehicle before any field mission.
- Ensure regular refueling of light vehicles and ensure economical driving (no running the engine, air conditioning, and radio when the vehicle is stationary).
- Carry out any other tasks assigned by the hierarchy on an ad hoc basis.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Education: Completion of secondary or high school education. Formal driver training with a valid driver’s license/certification to operate assigned vehicle following local rules and regulations. Knowledge of forklift and truck driving is desirable.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- Minimum of three years of relevant driving experience.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Good sense of orientation
- Valid driving license
Language: Fluency (level C) in English language.
