Cloud Engineer

Job Brief:

Support presales efforts and post-sales activities and collaborate closely with our sales and engineering teams to design and implement scalable and reliable cloud infrastructures for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate and collaborate with the sales team as technical experts to understand customer requirements and offer tailored solutions and effectively communicating the benefits of our cloud solutions and cloud best practices.
• Assist in the preparation of technical proposals and documentation for potential clients.
• Analyze and assess clients' existing IT infrastructure and business processes to design comprehensive cloud solutions and Develop detailed cloud architecture plans, including data migration strategies, security measures, and scalability options in line with industry best practices and compliance standards.
• Lead the implementation and deployment of cloud solutions, ensuring a smooth and efficient process by collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and applications.
• Configure and optimize cloud services to meet specific client requirements.
• Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting to clients after the successful deployment of cloud solutions to resolve any issues related to the cloud infrastructure.
• Offer guidance on performance optimization, cost management, and security enhancements.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

• Cloud Infrastructure Management:
  • Terraform: Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool for creating and managing cloud resources.
  • AWS CloudFormation: AWS-specific IaC tool for managing AWS resources.
  • Azure Resource Manager: Microsoft Azure's IaC tool for managing Azure resource.
• Automation and Configuration Management:
  • Ansible: Automation tool for cloud provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
  • Chef/Puppet: Alternative configuration management tools for managing cloud infrastructure.
• Monitoring and Logging:
  • AWS CloudWatch: AWS's monitoring and observability service for cloud resources.
  • Azure Monitor: Microsoft Azure's monitoring service for infrastructure and applications.
  • ELK Stack: ElasticSearch, Logstash, and Kibana for centralized log management and analysis.
• Networking and Security:
  • AWS Networking: Understanding of VPC, security groups, network ACLs, VPNs, etc.
  • Azure Networking: Proficiency in virtual networks, network security groups, VPN gateways, etc.
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Knowledge of AWS IAM and Azure Active Directory for managing user access and permissions.
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
  • Jenkins: Popular CI/CD tool for automating software builds, testing, and deployment.
  • GitLab CI/CD or Azure DevOps: Integrated DevOps platforms for code versioning and CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud Cost Management:
  • AWS Cost Explorer: Tool for analyzing and optimizing AWS costs.
  • Azure Cost Management: Microsoft Azure's cost analysis and optimization tool.
• Scripting Languages:
  • Python, Bash, or PowerShell: Proficiency in scripting languages for automation and cloud management tasks.
