Proposal Writer/ Managerial Level
Leads the proposal development process, including identifying and responding to opportunities by developing innovative, competitive, timely, and high-quality proposals. Engages in networking opportunities to continually grow organization's portfolio, and is the focal point with institutional donors and implementing partners. Plays a pivotal role in coordinating amongst organization various departments to ensure successful proposal development and maintaining relationships with donors.
Responsibilities
- Leads the entire proposal development process, in coordination and alignment with various departments and team members.
- Develops and leads the PD team in developing innovative, competitive, timely, and high quality Concepts/proposals.
- Develops strategic partnerships with international and national stakeholders to provide funding and financing opportunities
- Conducts ongoing mapping of current and potential strategic partners and opportunities, and assesses them based on the organizational needs, capacity, and vision.
- Builds Relationships across Work Units by developing and using collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals across work units.
- Coordinates and directs the budget development process between the Programs Division and Finance Division, ensuring collaboration and a budget that is aligned with donor expectations and requirements.
- Understands budgeting requirements, technicalities, and is capable of developing budgets and budget notes when needed.
- Conducts research when needed and contributes to drafting research reports such as market assessments; especially in the fields of community empowerment, livelihood, child protection, and women and youth empowerment.
- Manages, prioritizes and organizes self, relating to additional tasks requested by Function Management to support the Foundation achieve its business plan.
Managerial Responsibilities:
- Conveys organizational strategy to the team, sets department and individual targets and provides leadership direction to achieve goals.
- Evaluates performance of team members, provides feedback on an on-going basis, identifies development needs and coaches them to ensure on-going capability development.
- Oversees the identification of training needs and organization of trainings for the function on various aspects on which relate to the responsibilities of the role holders.
- Actively participates in assignments and ensures timely dissemination of information as requested by Executive Management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Work or any related field
- Strong English and Arabic language skills (written and spoken)
- 8-10 Years of experience.
