Location: Jarash and Ajloun

BACKGROUND

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide evidence-based psychological assistance to support clients and their families with mental health and psychosocial issues.
  • Remain up to date on and provide evidence-based psychological interventions and advances in the field of psychology.
  • Remain up to date with professional development opportunities.
  • Support other psychologists and Case workers as part of a peer supervision model.
  • Assist the case management teams in improving forms, care plans and mapping of community support services.
  • Take on team coaching and mentoring of team members.
  • Organize the development of initial care plan with focus on any immediate safety concerns.
  • Participate in case conferences, supervision and training opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver trainings for staff on topics relevant to psychological practice, lay counselling and case management.
  • Develop care plans that are individualized and mutually developed with the client.
  • Monitor on-going care plan development with special attention to safety issues.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk assessments and advise staff on carrying out risk assessments and the development of safety plans.
  • Coordinate the provision of case management and psychosocial services to clients, families, and significant others to enable these parties to deal with the impact of illness on individual family functioning and to achieve maximum benefits from services.
  • Evaluate client satisfaction and quality of care provided.
  • Offer direct therapeutic support for clients referred.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested by Supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Accountability, Communication, Teamwork, Innovation, Results focus, Planning and Organizing, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement, making quality decisions, leading and empowering others, managing performance, Analytical thinking, Client focus, applying technical expertise, coping with pressure and setbacks and following instructions and procedures.
  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology.
  • At least one-year experience as psychologist.
  • license from the MOH is an asset and will be given priority.
  • Current residence must be in Jarash or Ajloun
