Monitoring and Communication Manager

Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation is a specialized organization in development cooperation and humanitarian response, dedicated to creating a just world where individuals determine the course of their lives with dignity and security, while promoting sustainable use of environmental resources. We are currently seeking a motivated and innovative Monitoring and Communications Manager for the 20 Dunums for Change (20D4C) project in Jordan.
About the Project:
The 20D4C project, funded by AFD and implemented by a consortium of four partners, aims to promote the economic empowerment of Jordanian small farmers and vulnerable Syrian and other workers in the agriculture sector. The project focuses on improving market linkages, climate-smart agricultural practices, income diversification, financial inclusion, and the reduction of child labor. By fostering change in behavior and systems, the project strives to achieve three outcomes: increased productivity and higher income for small farmers, access to safe and resilient livelihoods for vulnerable agriculture workers and farmers, and improved working conditions with reduced incidents of child labor.
Responsibilities:
- During the inception phase, support the project manager in implementing studies and assessments planned for Irbid, Mafraq, and Amman.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and implementing partners to establish indicators for project measurement and develop a communication plan for Helvetas' activities.
- Establish an efficient monitoring and results measurement system to capture project outcomes and provide information for project steering.
- Generate knowledge materials in coordination with partners and stakeholders and disseminate them to relevant targets.
- Collaborate with the project team, promoting solution-oriented approaches.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relatoins, Marketing, Business Administration, International Development and Cooperation, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in monitoring and results measurement and/or communications.
- Strong understanding of data collection techniques, data analysis, and communication. Proficiency in data visualization techniques is a plus.
- Experience in project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, including managing budgets, timelines, and stakeholders effectively.
- Experience in effectively engaging and collaborating with diverse stakeholders such as farmers, local communities, government agencies, NGOs, and private sector actors.
- Proficiency in conducting research, analyzing data, and providing evidence-based advice for project development.
- Experience in networking and building professional relationships and networks within the field.
- Familiarity with the social and economic context of Jordan and effective communication skills with various stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills complemented by excellent written and verbal communication abilities for effective project reporting and presentations.
- Knowledge of ICT and Microsoft Office suite applications.
- Strong reporting, interpersonal, communication, and intercultural competencies.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic environment, including travel to project sites as required.
- Excellent proficiency in Arabic and English (oral and written).
