Quality Engineer

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated QA Engineer with a focus on manual testing to join our QA team. As a QA Engineer specializing in manual testing, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and usability of our software products. Your meticulous approach to testing and your ability to identify even the subtlest issues will be crucial in delivering exceptional software to our customers.

Responsibilities:

Test Case Design and Execution:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and user stories.

Develop comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and test data to cover various use cases.

Execute manual test cases and document test results, defects, and observations.

Functional and Regression Testing:

Perform thorough functional testing to verify that software meets specified requirements.

Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features or changes do not adversely impact existing functionality.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT):

Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders to conduct user acceptance testing.

Ensure that the software aligns with user needs and expectations.

Defect Reporting and Tracking:

Identify, document, and report software defects using (JIRA).

Work closely with developers to provide clear defect descriptions and steps to reproduce.

Quality Assurance Documentation:

Maintain accurate and organized records of test cases, test execution, and defect status.

Contribute to the improvement of QA documentation and processes.

Communication and Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders.

Provide regular updates on testing progress, results, and challenges.

Continuous Learning:

Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging testing methodologies.

Seek opportunities to enhance your skills and contribute to the growth of the QA team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2+ years of experience in manual software testing.
• Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in creating and executing test cases based on software requirements.
• Familiarity with bug tracking systems and version control tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
• ISTQB certification or relevant training is a plus.
