Accounting Manager

Objective of the role:

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and activities of the company. This includes managing the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, implementing, and maintaining internal controls, and supporting the company's financial goals.

The key responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate and oversee the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and realistic financial forecasts.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and facilitate audits.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making and drive business performance.
  • Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth banking operations and optimize financial resources.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, implementing changes as necessary.
  • Support the senior management in special projects, financial planning, and ad-hoc analyses as required.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial management, accounting, and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
