Content Marketing Officer/ Senior Officer
Job Brief:
Responsible for supporting in creating, editing and maintaining Umniah’s content marketing strategy and editorial plan for both offline and online content, producing high quality content in cooperation with internal stakeholders and external partners, working as part of the PR team to support CEO positioning and secure media coverage in order to ensure high engagement and build brand recognition while ensuring comprehensive and consistent messaging. Also, responsible for supporting the planning and executing high level corporate and management positioning activities in compliance with marketing and branding strategies and objectives with the goal of influencing a positive public opinion and enhancing corporate reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, update, and execute strategic content communications and overall communications roadmap in cooperation with internal stakeholders and content agencies to ensure proper publicity in all related projects (online and offline) while seeking new opportunities for exposure and alignment to Umniah’s brand
- Plan the activation flow for the projects while managing all related logistics to ensure all projects are carried out effectively and within budget
- Prepare frequent and ad-hoc reports such as the PR & Content Marketing budget report
- Maintain a proper tracking system for the PR & content marketing budget throughout creating a budget breakdown and tracking per project
- Update and maintain the purchase requests database in order to keep track of the divisions’ spending
- Stay up-to-date with the best practices for content marketing and trends in the telecommunications industry
- Develop, review, and edit English and Arabic (bilingual) content related to Uminah’s communications in cooperation with content agencies (such as press releases, interviews, talking points, statements, articles, letters… etc.)
- Support in CEO positioning and securing media coverage including but not limited to interviews, press releases, articles, etc..
- Manage The 8Log content including selecting and editing content, creating collaborations with writers and organizations, in addition to working with the digital marketing team to optimize Umniah’s SEO through The 8Log, Umniah’s website, and E-Shop
- Support the creation and maintain and optimize Umniah’s digital content across Umniah platforms (including UWallet website, Umniah Website, e-shop, The 8Log, SMS, e-newsletters, U-app, Umnicoin, etc.) and report performance on a regular basis and ensure content is accurate, up to date and consistent and optimized SEO and SEM
- Follow the content agencies’ recommendations and the global best practices to ensure SEO/ SEM optimization
- Ensure consistency between online and offline content such as press releases, booklets, brochures, etc.
- Create content to enable measurement and evaluation through Google analytics. Provide weekly and wmonthly reports on the performance of the website, e-shop, The 8Log, UWallet and other Umniah platforms. Using any other analytic reporting tools that will support.
- Create, manage, and maintain a content calendar in collaboration with products owners, enterprise team, advertising and brand team, CSR team, etc.
- Work with the marketing team on integrating content programs with products and brand campaigns to drive traffic to the e-shop, website, showrooms
- Handle CEO and CCO twitter account content and create a monthly calendar of main occasions as needed.
- Manage and maintain Google ads revenue on The 8Log
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Essential:
- Good knowledge of brand equity management: brand valuation, brand protection
- Excellent knowledge of project management: project planning/tracking, resource allocation and budgeting, project reporting, issue resolution
- Excellent communication skills: advertising, public relations
- Excellent knowledge of public and government media management and methodologies
- Excellent knowledge of social media scene
- Good knowledge of telecommunication industry, products, and services
- Good knowledge of local market: mobile telecommunications industry, consumer behavior and consumer segments
- Excellent command of Arabic & English language both speaking and writing
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
- Excellent command of computer skills (MS Office)
- Good knowledge of SEO and content marketing
- Good knowledge of reporting and data analysis
