JOB TITLE
Textile Merchandise Manager | Retail | Jordan Head Office
Role Summary
The Textile Merchandise Manager coordinates with buyers and supports Majid Al Futtaim Retail purchases. The role holder is also responsible for selecting and examining products that get to store shelves, in catalogs, and online.
ROLE PROFILE
- Prepare and review purchase details of orders and deliveries.
- Research and suggest new suppliers with long-term cost savings or quality improvement.
- Implement methods to reduce shortages and overstocking through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
- Develop a cost scenario analysis, and benchmarking for the sourcing function when required.
- Engage in sourcing the best quality products for competitive prices aligned with the organization's objectives.
- Develop reports on key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve the effectiveness.
- Control spending and build a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.
- Oversee communication with suppliers on quality-related issues and propose areas for improvement to ensure the best quality products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration.
- Full Awareness of the textile and Fashion Market in Jordan is a must.
- 5-10 years of experience in textile field.
- Good Level of English.
- Strong business communication and presentation skills.
- Financial and analytical skills is plus.
