JOB TITLE: Junior Data Analyst (Talent Management)

DUTY STATION (City, Country): Rome, Italy
DURATION: 6 months
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
Finance is one of the core functions in WFP with a strong network of over 800 employees globally. Finance plays a key role in facilitating WFP’s operations through management of financial resources entrusted to the Programme, financial risk management, including in cash-based transfers (CBT), settlement of WFP’s financial obligations to vendors, cooperating partners, employees and other stakeholders, maintaining accounting records of WFP’s financial transactions, providing cross functional financial advice on all aspects of WFP’s operations, and ultimately providing assurance to donors and other stakeholders through corporate and donor financial reports.
Guided by its vision of being a strategic business partner that supports the strategic shift of the organization, and in alignment with the release of the new Staffing Framework, FIN has identified its people as critical in supporting the transformation of the finance role. The division plans to recruit a Junior Data Analyst in the talent management workstream to augment existing capacity. The incumbent will be provided with close mentoring, guidance, and technical supervision to be able to provide support to the Finance division on implementation on the people elements as the enabler in its Finance Strategy in alignment with the WFP People Policy and framework.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead predictive/descriptive analysis using statistical methods, develop dashboards on key Finance workforce metrics to help inform strategic decision-making on people-related processes and strategies.
2. Support new systems implementation in relation with the Finance workforce and people analytics.
3. Support the leadership team with and communicate insights through engaging reports, presentations, and briefings for workforce transactional data (strong writing skills).
4. Assist with special projects in the FINF Branch, focusing on the people agenda initiatives to support strategic workforce planning gap-closing actions.
5. Help with auditing and improving talent acquisition data processes.
6. Leverage various tools and technology to analyse and identify workforce trends
7. Partner with HR focal points to support the Branch.
8. Other tasks as required by the FINF branch.
DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
A University degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or Economics or related field with additional years of related work experience or trainings/courses focusing on Data Analysis.
Experience:
At least 1 year of postgraduate experience in HR data Analytics, processes and systems and demonstrated experience using cloud-based ERP systems/applications such as SAP SuccessFactors or Workday.
Knowledge & Skills: Strong analytical skills and presentation skills.
Ability to tell a story with data and draw workforce insights for a senior Management audience.
Knowledge of and working experience with corporate HR information systems.
Creative problem solver, flexible and constructive approach.
Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritize multiple stakeholder requests.
Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools (Power Bi/Tableau).
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
Ability to juggle multiple projects and integrate diverse information.
Knowledge in design tools such as Canva will be an added advatange.
Knowledge of common business principles and processes and the ability to quickly assimilate UN/WFP specific processes and systems.
Languages:
Fluency (level C) in English language. Working knowledge of another UN language desirable.
