We are a leading freight service company seeking a skilled and experienced Logistics and Supply Chain Specialist to join our dynamic team.
As a Logistics and Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of our specialized freight operations. This is a crucial role that requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills and a deep understanding of the freight industry.
Responsibilities:-
- Oversee and manage all specialized freight operations, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods.
- Coordinate with internal teams and business partners to ensuresmooth operations.
- Handle all documentation and paperwork related to specialized shipments, including customs documentation, permits and insurance.
- Monitor and track shipments, providing regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clients to determine specific requirements for specialized shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all industry regulations including safety standards and international shipping regulations.
- Resolve any operational issues or challenges that may arise during the transportation process.
- Maintain accurate records of all specialized operations and prepare reports for management as required.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations and best practices to optimize operational efficiency.
Requirements:-
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in operations within the freight service industry.
- Fluent in English both written and verbal with excellent communication skills.
- problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and procedures is highly desirable.
- A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management or any related field.
