Job Description

Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.

Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.

Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity and debt activity.

Analyse financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.

Monitor expenditures, analyse revenues and determine budget variances and report the same to management.

Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely manner.

Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.

Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.

Audit accounts to ensure compliance with regulations; coordinate with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.

Present recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.

Provide financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.

Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations.

Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.

Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.

Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.

Oversee preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.

Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
Job Requirements

Education: Commerce Bachelor degree (Accounting Department).

Real estate experience is a must.

Related function experience: 10+ years’ experience

Related position experience: 3 year experience

MS office – excellent
* Financial system experience
