Role: GM / Country Manager – Retail Design and Delivery
Location: Riyadh KSA
Reporting to: Director
Job Purpose:
The primary role of a General Manager is to oversee the operations of a company’s affiliate in a particular country or region. GM is responsible for carrying out the agreed business strategies and achieving goals for their specific country or region, managing overall delivery of products and services including resource management and client management, monitor and report on revenue forecasts and affects to cashflow whilst maintaining required profit levels by managing cost.
Primary Objectives:
- Carry out the agreed Vindico business strategies and achieve goals set for the country or region
- Understand the quarterly and annual strategies provided by the business concerning the operations and growth of the business
- Facilitate the goals associated with the strategies ensuring progress and status is provided back to the business on a regular basis per the provided reporting templates or if no reporting of metrics has been developed, create the proper reporting methods that provide transparency into operations
- Break down strategic initiatives as appropriate and delegate to staff, ensuring there is comprehension from all levels of the business as to the goals required to achieve for that period. Monitor team progress
- Develop and work on additional business initiatives that can and will be implemented in the future that drives business growth and efficiencies
- Recognize and continue industry relationships to identify new business opportunities and collaborate with head office to secure new business opportunities.
- Manage overall delivery of Vindico products and services including resource management and client management
- Maintain knowledge of the market and potential opportunities to obtain repeat business or additional services within the current project/portfolio.
- Monitor interaction between the Vindico team and the client and client’s consulting team to ensure a positive professional image is maintained.
- Attend client meetings as the Vindico Representative Identify client pains and potential risks before they become issues and work with the project team to develop solutions
- Monitor the performance of the Vindico team; provide training, mentorship and support in order to encourage continuous professional development
- Implement a monthly 1:1 structure, providing team members with opportunities to discuss their performance and ongoing development
- Ensure that all quarterly performance appraisals are completed within the stated timeframe and submitted to the HR team
- Brief the team on ways to meet client requirements and maintain higher standards of service
- Ensure the team updates the project details in the VRDnet system on a regular basis. Conduct daily, weekly, monthly calls, meetings with the teams to ensure project reports are accurate as per project status.
- Responsible for client reporting and maintain client relationships.
- Monitor and report on revenue forecasts and affects to cashflow whilst maintaining required profit levels by managing cost
- Create revenue forecasts on a regular basis and track against baseline goals
- Recognize where adjustments may be required to avoid significant financial impact on the business and alerts the business in a timely manner
- Adopts new or revised cost control measures when required to sustain profitability
- Manage resource cost basis to ensure target profitability is maintained
- Monitor invoicing and payment schedules such that positive cashflow is maintained at all times
- Review invoices against workload completed to ensure the accuracy of data. Highlight and address concerns in time/resource allocation shown on timesheets prior to invoicing to ensure clients do not question billing.
