JOB PURPOSE
To provide specialized support functions and/or supervise staff performing standard logistics/supply chain processes and activities to enable effective delivery of goods and services for all delivery modalities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
1. Facilitate the establishment of systems and tools for effective Operations and Information Management (OIM) within WFP Pakistan's Supply Chain Unit. This includes performance reporting and inter-agency information management, adhering to WFP, UN and Donor protocols in coordination with Partnership Unit.
2. Lead in implementation of Supply Chain OIM & Performance Reporting (PR) guidelines into existing systems to improve the quality, uniformity, and standardization of information management across WFP Pakistan.
3. Analyze and validate the compilation of data from internal and external sources in coordination with RAM and Communication Unit. This facilitates improved information and data exchange within WFP functional areas, promoting operational awareness and understanding of potential humanitarian impacts.
4. Oversee the assembly, drafting, and distribution of Supply Chain analyses relating to WFP Pakistan's current and future responses, donor policies, and trends. This ensures country-specific input into WFP's operational reporting.
5. Oversee the assembly of 'Essential Elements of Information' analyses, providing a comprehensive understanding of WFP Pakistan's Supply Chain operational environment, available resources and assets.
6. Support the creation, development and implementation of WFP Pakistan Supply Chain unit dashboards, collaborating with RB and HQ program and monitoring & evaluation teams to ensure information coherence and quality.
7. Collaborate with UN agency OIM counterparts to align Supply Chain information and complement WFP analyses at HQ and RB levels.
8. Collaborate with WFP Divisions to support the performance of activities and ensure a consistent approach to information management, analysis, and performance reporting.
9. Enhance the capacity of WFP Supply Chain staff, partners, and governments to effectively manage operational information and performance reporting. This includes conducting disaster management simulations and providing relevant OIM training.
10. Guide regional and provincial office staff, providing coaching and guidance to ensure their development and high performance.
11. Participate as a WFP Pakistan Supply Chain unit team member in task forces, working groups.
12. Contribute to developing Supply Chain OIM guidance and policy as needed. Support initiatives for improved, streamlined, and harmonized OIM & Partnership Unit.
13. Contribute to establishing, implementing, and assuring defined OIM quality standards in all processes and products, focusing on data analysis and providing data insights.
14. Support the WFP Pakistan Country Office in emergencies by managing the preparation and organization of OIM, ensuring accurate reporting and dissemination of Supply Chain information to Country Offices, Regional Bureaus, and a necessary with HQ SC.
OTHER SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Crafting OIM products such as situation reports, donor reports, bulletins, presentations, and meeting minutes.
2. Providing Information Management support during the activation of the Logistics Cluster.
3. Assisting in developing concept notes and records for Supply Chain projects and interventions.
4. Contributing to the creation of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), work plans, and action plans for collaborative initiatives with various partners.
5. Facilitating the preparation of funding proposals.
6. Participating in the development of Logistics Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
7. Helping design and conducting Supply Chain assessments when necessary.
8. Assist WFP Pakistan's Supply Chain unit in its crucial function as a corridor country for WFP Afghanistan.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Economics, Statistics, Information Management, Journalism, Business Management, Social Sciences or Data-Science related field.
Experience: At least Six years of experience in supply chain management with minimum three years of progressive professional experience in information management, communication or data science activities, preferably in the context of humanitarian or development programmes.
Previous international experience and proof history of interacting with multicultural teams is considered an advantage.

This job is based in Country Office, Islamabad. Job holder report to a Logistics Officer, Head of Unit or the designate.
At this level, job holders demonstrate responsibility and initiative to respond independently to queries with only general guidance for all assistance modalities for both WFP and logistics common services. There is a requirement to use judgment in dealing with unforeseen problems on a daily basis. Job holders typically manage a small team, supervising and coaching staff.
