ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

These jobs are found primarily in WFP Field based Offices, and job holders typically report to Programme Policy Officer or Programme Associate. The reporting lines may change depending on the size of the office.
At this level work is carried out under minimum supervision. Job holders are expected to produce organised and accurate technical work and reports. They may provide guidance on standard practices to other staff and counterparts in their area of work.

JOB PURPOSE

This position will be based either in Amman with daily trips to Azraq camp and host community areas; or based in Zaatari camp with daily trips inside the camp and host community areas.

in Jordan. The job holder is expected to support the day-to-day field operations of WFP Jordan through implementation of some activities, data collection, monitoring, reporting, supporting donor missions, and other aspects of field operations activities.

They may provide guidance on standard practices to other staff and counterparts in their area of work, and they perform monitoring activities within a specific coverage area and provide reports to support the effective delivery of assistance packages

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  1. Maintain information records and monitoring plan documentation, such as records of commodity movements and programme checklists, in order to assist in the effective delivery and distribution of food items.
  2. Collate assistance programme data in accordance with clear direction, in order to support programme reviews and informative decision-making.
  3. Coordinate and monitor the implementation of food assistance programme at the local level, in close collaboration with the implementing partners in order to meet WFP standards.
  4. Distribution of food commodities under the school feeding activity in the camp
  5. Adhering to guidance and policies in relation to logistics management of the food commodities
  6. Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of the distributed food commodities
  7. Receive and collate comments and feedback from cooperating partners, and beneficiaries, to support identifying programmatic issues with a view to fostering efficient operations.
  8. Prepare field mission reports to document programme implementation.
  9. Identify any apparent issues in the programme and report them to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner.
  10. Assist in the conduct of regular meetings of beneficiary leaders and implementing partners on the commodity pipeline, distribution arrangements, food entitlements and other relevant issues.
  11. Perform other related duties as required

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate is a plus.

Experience At least three (3) years of progressively responsible support work in the related area.

Languages: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Arabic.

Programme Monitoring and Review Gathers, organizes, and provides data on programme outputs, processes, and outcomes, including distribution plans and the status, quantity, and quality of food and cash distributed and technical assistance provided.

DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE

• Has experience analysing programme output and outcome data.
• General knowledge of WFP monitoring and evaluation systems and standards.
