ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
The HRMTM unit is a strategic partner and acts as a Center of Excellence for WFP providing advice, support, trainings, tools, and corporate guidance on the below-indicated areas of work. We are committed to promote and implement diversity and inclusivity within our workforce, to support and advance WFP’s mandate.
Our team provides guidance and advice on job evaluation and position management, facilitates the international deployment of staff through reassignment, ensures new talent is sourced and injected through different recruitment streams (young professionals, international professional and general service workforce), and that appropriate FIT Pools and other rosters are established and readily available to immediately fill talent gaps.
The role will report to the Chief HRMTM and will work closely with the Heads of Unit to review, strengthen and optimize process workflows, develop solid data tracking systems and develop data models and dashboards to inform strategic decision-making and continued strengthening of internal processes securing impactful outcomes. The role will closely work with the HRMTM Graphic Designer and relevant HR technology and analytics counterparts.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
You will:
- Work closely with The Chief HRMTM, Heads of Units and staff to coordinate and report on HRMTM activities, ensuring a deep understanding of requirements for effective prioritization and implementation as well as advanced reporting to various stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the HRMTM units and broader in the HR Division to understand specific HR data and reporting requirements, tailoring data analysis and visualization processes to meet unique HRMTM needs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a systematic approach to HRMTM processes. Assess, test, and analyze emerging IT solutions to enhance HRMTM communication, reporting, and data management support.
- Design and develop innovative HR solutions, including data models, user experience designs, and dashboards that provide insightful visualization of HR metrics and key performance indicators to internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain robust HR data architecture and data management systems, ensuring high levels of data quality, integrity, accuracy, and reliability as well as in collaboration with HRMOI partners to ensure data security.
- Coordinate with various internal HR teams to establish and standardize data management protocols and practices across the organization, fostering a data-driven culture.
- Conduct complex data analysis in collaboration with HRMTM teams to identify process efficiencies, drive improvements internally, and align HR support to management needs within the established frameworks.
- Contribute to the design, development, and continuous innovation of dashboards and other HR data visualization tools that provide insightful, easy-to-understand representation of critical HR data points and connect various data to pull insights for developing vision and supporting decision-making
- Monitor and analyze HR trends, industry best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure HR operations and data management practices remain compliant and aligned with evolving standards
- Provide training and support to HR staff and end-users on HR systems, reporting tools, and data analysis techniques to enhance data literacy and utilization across the organization.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and data analytics techniques, proactively identifying opportunities to leverage new tools and methodologies to improve HR operations and decision-making.
- Perform other duties as required.
DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT
The following deliverables will be expected:
- Established clear workflows and data trackers to measure process efficiency and effectiveness for all internal processes.
- Develop data models and dashboards to effectively monitor and communicate team results and outcomes.
- Align and integrate proposed solutions with existing corporate HR Analytics and technology capacity
QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY REQUIREMENTS
Education:
You have:
- A University Degree in a relevant field, such as Human Resource, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics or a related discipline.
- Additional training and certifications in HR Digitalization and/or HR Data Analytics and Visualization are an asset.
Experience:
- You have at least 3 years of relevant professional work experience in HR, working with HR processes, policies, and systems, as well as analyzing data and building dashboards and advanced reporting with a good understanding of HR data and reporting requirements.
Language:
You have:
- Fluency (level C) in the English language
- Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, and/or Portuguese (a WFP working language).
MORE ABOUT YOU
You have:
- Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting HR data using statistical techniques and data analysis tools. This includes data cleansing, data modeling, quantitative analysis, and data visualization skills.
- Good understanding of HR metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and HR analytics concepts. Knowledge of industry benchmarks and best practices related to HR metrics and analytics.
- Ability to create visually appealing and informative HR dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel. Understanding of data visualization best practices.
- Effective communication skills to convey complex HR data and analysis in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to prepare and deliver engaging presentations and reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with HR business partners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build positive working relationships.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The selected candidate will be required to relocate to Rome, Italy to take up this assignment.
The duration of this contract is an 11 months, with the possibility for extension.
No appointment under any kind of contract will be offered to members of the UN Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (ACABQ), International Civil Service Commission (ICSC), FAO Finance Committee, WFP External Auditor, WFP Audit Committee, Joint Inspection Unit (JIU) and other similar bodies within the United Nations system with oversight responsibilities over WFP, both during their service and within three years of ceasing that service.
