Demand Planner, Levant
Job Description
- Support and facilitate Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process
- Support Demand generation : generate 36-month rolling forecast based on Country Manager/Franchise Managers/Finance projections; formal sign off process of inland sales forecast
- Work closely with Commercial team and Distibutors to Ensure orders are submitted on time with regular follow up of products availability with Basel supply chain
- Coordinate & follow up Sales Orders and Tender quotations
- Manage & support strategic supply chain initiatives in line with Global Supply Chain process from forecast to fulfilment
- Ensure healthy inventory levels at distributors
- Support and coordinate lifecycle projects as Launches/transfers/divestment/pruning and changes, apply in 36-months rolling forecast of net requirements to ensure right product at the right time at the right place
- Ensure orders are submitted on time with regular follow up of products availability with Basel supply chain
- Maintain strong working relationships with all external & internal business partners, specially related to S&OP-partners Country Operations, BPA, DRA, FRA, KAM, Franchise Management, Technical Operations, Novartis Pharma Services Basel, MENA Management and Customers/Agents/Distributors
- Support Supply Chain projects and collaborate with other functions (BPA, Sales/Marketing and Country Operations )
- Follow up of Slow and no movers’ products and action plan if necessary

Minimum Requirements
- Languages: English essential, local language preferred
- 2-5 years’ experience in Supply chain Management, Materials Management / Logistics, Planning
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage resolution of complex issues with an extended/overseas team in a fast paced development environment.
- Ability to message executive management on program status and interact in escalations as appropriate.
- Pro-active in approach and follows through on important issues.
- Forecasting – Demand: Knowledge of demand forecasting techniques and inputs (e.g., business trends, seasonality, consumption patterns, ABC Classification, etc)
- Software Applications: Knowledge and use of technical software applications appropriate to the specific work activities
