Reports to: Awards and Partnership Manager
Dotted Line/if any: Work closely with the Program Departmenrt as well as the Support Departments (HR, Operations, Finance, M&E)

Often, RI is the only organization providing assistance to highly vulnerable communities.
Position Summary:
This role has been crafted to temporarly support the awards management unit. The awards management assistant role will focus on supporting Jordan Country Office – Awards Management Unit in the administration, coordination, knowledge management, compliance and reporting tasks.
Essential duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain up-to-date grants trackers and calendars including internal and donor reporting deadlines;
- Support the development, revision and provision of high-quality editing, proofreading in both Arabic and English, copyediting and formatting for program and country related documents intended for external audiences, including but not limited to sit reps, country briefs and donor reports;
- Upon delegation, attent meetings, take meeting minutes, note down action plans, then circulate them upon validation and follow-up with the responsible concerned staff on the status of each noted action point.
- Ensure, updates on grants, compliance issues and close-out related documents, are documented appropriately.
- Ensure comprehensive information management by supporting in managing and organizing grant files, supporting donor audits, internal audit, closeout process and updating internal documentation.
- Ensure to collect data upon delegation, maintain and update the awards archiving system in collaboration with other departments.
- Support the planning and coordination of events with external audiences, including coordination to prepare guest list, finalise programmes/agendas, issue press releases pre- and post-event and ensure appropriate visibly materials (banners, roll-ups) are available.
- Perform other tasks as needed or requested by the supervisor.

Qualitificatoins and Skills Requirements:
This position will require a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and fast paced environment.
- University Degree in Business Administration, International Development, Middle East Studies, Journalism, Social Sciences, International Relations or other relevant majors;
- 1-2 years' experience working in grants/program management in INGO/humanitarian field in the Middle East.
- Strong organisational analytical and administrative skills, including a strong ability to focus on detail and quality assurance.
- Ability to work effectively with different teams in a positive and professional manner.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, tasks efficiently;
- Ability to adapt to different cultures.
- Curious and eager to learn.
- Willingness to travel the intervention areas in Jordan, sometimes at short notice, as required for the successful implementation of the role.
- Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English skills with advanced proofreading and copyediting skills are a must.
- Experience in communication, reporting, documentation, publication in relation to the INGO/humanitarian sector is desirable.
- Familiarity with BPRM, SDC, UN regulations, rules and guidelines is desirable;
