Cleaner (Housekeeper) (Full time)

CONTEXT

Médecins Sans Frontières is a private, non-profit international humanitarian organization dedicated to providing medical assistance to populations in crisis, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. Médecins Sans Frontières is seeking a Cleaner (Housekeeper) for its office /guesthouse in Amman.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Country Office Manager and in close collaboration with the housekeeping/cleaning team:

§ Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets and other rooms in MSF houses.

§ Do the laundry iron clothes and other housekeeping activities.

§ Support the cook (washing up, cleaning the kitchen, etc.).

§ Sweep and mop the floors.

§ Upon arrival, prepare hot water for tea/coffee and refill drinking water as required.

§ Check that the toilets are well stocked with supplies (toilet paper, soap etc.) and restock as required.

§ Check that the water supply (kitchen, showers, etc.) is sufficient during water cuts.

§ Keep premises properly locked (doors, windows).

PROFILE

§ Primary education – ability to read and write.

§ At least 2 years of previous experience in cleaning/housekeeping is required.

§ Eligible to work in the Jordan and if sponsorship needed to work in Jordan he/she should be sponsored by organization or company (transferable).

§ Experience in similar roles experience with other International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) is preferred.

§ Language: English and Arabic.

§ Commitment, Flexibility ,Stress Management, Teamwork ,Service.

WORK LOCATION: Amman – Jordan

CONTRACT: Fixed term contract – Full Time – 12 months renewable

Probable start date: ASAP
