Scope and Objectives

The Kaizen Company is seeking an ICT & Data Management Specialist to support the four-year USAID/Jordan Enhancing School Management and Planning (ESMP) Project. The ESMP Project objective is to improve the school management and planning process, and the quality of school environments in Jordan by enhancing the planning, oversight, operation, and maintenance capabilities of the Ministries of Education (MOE) and Public Works and Housing (MPWH). The scope of this project is to provide assessment expertise, technical assistance, capacity building, collaboration facilitation, and training to the MOE, MPWH, targeted stakeholders, and counterparts engaged in school management and planning to improve performance and sustain these improvements.

Kaizen will hire a mid-level Jordanian ICT & Data Management Specialist with the following key responsibilities and required qualifications for the full-time position.

Position Summary

The ICT & Data Management Specialist will manage relationships and coordinate all technical activities related to ICT and data management, including GIS and Education MIS support, in close coordination with the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) and the Capacity Building Specialist. This position will report to the DCOP and will be based in Amman, Jordan.

Expected responsibilities include:

• Deliver technical assistance, coordination, and training for initiatives directly related to ICT and data management technical expertise.
• Establish and oversee the design and implementation of an ICT-based knowledge management system for all ESMP activities.
• Support the School Infrastructure Performance Improvement (PI) cycle by leading the definition of PI Initiatives and work plans.
• Coordinate with donors and firms who are supporting or have supported the GIS and Education MIS systems in Jordan.
• Support the procurement of ICT-related items.
• Develop user guides and training for all relevant staff and stakeholders related to ICT and data-based knowledge management.

Qualifications

• At least five years of professional experience in ICT administration and/or programming.
• Experience in working with USAID or other donor-funded programs on ICT and data management preferred.
• A minimum of a relevant undergraduate degree. Higher qualification will be viewed as an advantage.
• Fluency in GIS and Education MIS systems.
• Strong interpersonal, coordination, and project management skills.
• Strong written & oral communications.
• Team player, able to work respectfully and cooperatively with colleagues or different national and cultural backgrounds.
• Fluency in English & Arabic.
