About the company:
- Qima Coffee is a globally recognised coffee sourcing and trading business that specialises in discovering and offering some of the world’s finest coffees, with the aim of generating sustainable livelihoods for smallholder farmers.
- Qima was established in 2016, initially sourcing coffee from Yemen with the aim of generating livelihoods for smallholder farmers in one of the world’s most difficult operating environments.
- Having succeeded in (re)building Yemen’s coffee industry, in 2020 Qima expanded its coffee sourcing operations globally and the company now operates in numerous coffee producing countries and markets and distributes its coffees to over 40 countries worldwide.
- We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Specialty Coffee Salesperson to join our team.
- The Salesperson will be based in our regional office in Amman, Jordan and will be responsible for expanding our market presence in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Doha, and other cities.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for specialty coffee, a proven track record in sales, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Work with our Business Development manager to implement strategic sales plan to expand our specialty coffee business in the designated markets.
- Identify and target potential clients, including cafes, restaurants, hotels, and specialty coffee retailers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Conduct regular visits to clients in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and other cities to understand their needs, introduce new products, and negotiate contracts.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns to drive sales and brand awareness.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities.
- Provide product training and support to clients, ensuring they have a thorough understanding of our specialty coffee offerings.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients, highlighting the unique features and benefits of our products.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and budgets, monitoring sales performance against targets.
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to showcase our specialty coffee products and network with potential clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including production, logistics, and customer support, to ensure smooth order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Salesperson or in a similar sales role, preferably in the specialty coffee industry.
- Knowledge and passion for specialty coffee, including different brewing methods, flavour profiles, and industry trends.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Willingness to travel frequently to Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Doha, and other cities.
- Self-motivated and result-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Fluency in Arabic is required
