Payables Senior Accountant

Petra Engineering Industries Co.; a market leader in the design and manufacture of high quality commercial and industrial HVAC equipment; seeks to hire Payables Senior Accountant with the following:

Main Duties:

• Review and post all received invoices; shipping, Health and marine insurance, GRS merchandise, cash advances, clearance services, certifications, etc..
• Control costing for received goods.
• Analyze expected and actual PO expenses.
• Review the settlement of petty cash advances accounts, and prepare the settlement of services advance accounts.
• Review monthly reconciliations and payments.
• Generate ageing & reports.
• Follow-up the overdue invoices before closing financial period.
• Follow-up any delayed invoices before closing financial period.
• Prepare the quarterly settlement between the general ledger and the Sub Ledger & Ledger Notebooks.
• Follow up the intermediate accounts and ensure that all transactions are settled.
• Maintain and update supplier’s accounts and other related information.
• Review all the new POs before approval from management.
• Apply payments against invoices.
• Can handle withholding taxes

Qualifications:

• BA in Accounting.

• Minimum 5 Years of related Experience, preferable manufacturing experience.
• Excellent command in English language.
• Very good command of Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Aware of the Jordanian VAT & Income tax laws and regulations.
• Familiar with ERP System.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Very good interpersonal skills.
