Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for the overall operations of the Centre including (and not limited to):

enrolment, revenues, ensuring proper and effective documentation of expenses and revenue, staff management and program development initiatives.

Her duties will also include and are not limited to the responsibilities outlined below.

• Provide mentoring, coaching and professional development regularly and as appropriate to meet the individual professional needs of staff and to comply with regulatory standards.
• General knowledge of UAE Federal Law No. 5 of 1983 in respect of Nursery Establishments, and the standards guidelines and policies of relevant education authorities (MOE, KHDA, FAEE and DHA)

• Follow the DHA & center’s Health & Safety practices to maintain a safe and clean work environment, and be proactive in matters of health, safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families

• Develop and maintain effective systems of program planning, assessment, record keeping and reporting.
• Ensure all children have access to a child-centered, broad and balanced curriculum by ensuring equity of access to the whole curriculum for all children.
• Ensure high-quality teaching and learning, supported by the principles of internationally accepted practices in early childhood education, through a rigorous program of monitoring and evaluation.

Accountability

• Work closely with the Governance Committee to provide a clear vision for the staff, parents, children and communities served by the Centre.
• Ensure that all regulatory requirements are followed and that the necessary supporting documents for all Inspections, are available consistently and in a timely manner.
• Ensure that parents and children are well informed about the school’s direction, priorities and curriculum.
• Manage the process for external accreditation and evaluation with the aim to align the Centre with international standards to promote a continuous cycle of quality assurance.
• Develop and monitor programmatic KPI’s and ensure the program meets its targets of high quality provision, reporting as required on progress.

Organization and resources

• Master’s degree in early childhood education or CACHE Level 5, with a minimum of 5 years of experience with children aged 0-5 years of age
• Demonstrated leadership and teacher training skills
• Previous management experience (2 years minimum) in a nursery, preschool or school setting, preferably in UK/UAE
• Excellent oral and written language proficiency in English
• Proficient in IT skills and experience with social media tools
• Creative thinker and writer
• Personal and professional skills that reflect adaptability, flexibility and problem solving skills
