Electrical Inspector

Minimum Qualification

· Fluent in Arabic with good English verbal and report writing skills (MS Word & Excel)

· A recognized Engineering Degree or Diploma qualification is preferred.

· Minimum > 5 Years’ experience as Inspector in one of the following sectors: Mining, Power plant, Petrochemical or Heavy engineering.

· Exposure to medium-voltage equipment is a mandatory requirement.

Additional Electrical Inspection certification will be required for this position

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and witness all equipment due for calibration.

2. Assist with the recording of punch-list and CAR items.

3. Assist the Warehouse / Stores with all incoming deliveries ensuring quality products with no damage.

4. Identify and raise NCR as and when required.

5. Compilation of data-book for all new projects.

6. Visual Inspect and Witness all Electrical repairs, Termination, and fixation, ensuring Local Standard and Regulations, IEC, NFPA etc. apply and obtained when inspecting the major Electrical maintenance works and Electrical installations.

Skills & Abilities

· General knowledge in Electrical Switchgears power system (1KV/0.400KV), distribution boards, and control protection relays) etc.

· Knowledge of Electrical standard repairs medium-voltage and low-voltage (Electrical rooms troubleshooting, Motors, Cables) etc.

· A good knowledge in making use of related Codes and Standard such as IEEE.NEC, IEC, NFPA etc.

· Able to use electrical measuring tools such, Multi-meter, Insulation testers, Process calibration, Field sensors calibration, Instruments for field inspection, Thermal camera etc.

· Able to develop inspection templates, inspection procedures, ITP and QCP’s and Data-books.

· Able to read and understand Drawings, Electrical power diagrams, Single line control diagrams, P&ID, s and Electrical OEM Manuals.

· Understanding of Punch, CAR, and NCR systems.
