Software Engineer

Role Summary

As a Software Engineer at LENSEC, you will work on things that closely correlates with the success of the company. As a member of Perspective VMS® engineering team, you will develop new features that advances our Video Management System product portfolio to gain competitive advantage.

You will coordinate with Engineering and Product Managers, on new features and help LENSEC execute the company’s product roadmap. You will proactively identify opportunities for improvement, build consensus, track risks and dependencies with a positive attitude.

We expect all our engineers to be product focused and enthusiastic to take on new challenges and drive our product and culture forward.

What you will be doing (core responsibilities)

· Design and build new features from our product roadmap.

· Troubleshoot software issues and debug code.

· Help ensure our internal codebases remain well tested, easily extensible and documented.

· Work in a high-performing and winning culture and foster a collaborative working environment with other members of the engineering team.

· Work with cross-functional teams on different time-zones.

· Contribute to technical documentation and wiki pages.

Qualifications (you must have)

· BSc. degree in computer science or software engineering or any relevant field.

· Proficiency in .NET programming languages, especially C#.

· Excellent understanding in object-oriented principles.

· Understanding in ASP.NET frameworks (MVC or Web Forms) and Web APIs.

· Good knowledge in web development technologies: HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, AngularJS, Telerik Framework (Kendo UI and Telerik Reporting).

· Good knowledge in working with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server databases.

· Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban…etc.).

· Good analytical and creative approach to complex problems.

· Ability to work under pressure.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Always stay up to date with new technologies.

· English language fluency.
