We are looking for a Safety Specialist to join our team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain Workplace HSE procedures.
– Ensure compliance with all legal/local regulatory HSE requirements.
– Ensure compliance with company HSE requirements.
– Provides field HSE support and guidance throughout all activities.
– Enforces company policies and procedures.
– Inspect and test firefighting equipment.
– Conduct emergency response drills (such as evacuation, fire and spill drills).
– Conduct safety inductions and orientations for new comers.
– Conduct HSE trainings and awareness sessions.
– Ensure that the company safety expectations are communicated to the workforce.
– Provide training sessions as per Training Plan & Competency development requirements.
– Educate workforce on Lessons Learnt from previous & industry incidents.
– Ensure compliance with Drive Safe Procedure to ensure safety of sales team and protection of vehicle accidents.
– Manage and analyse periodical environmental and safety tests and results.
– Prepare daily, weekly and monthly HSE reports as required.
– Ensure proper traffic management within the site.
– Investigate incidents.
– Perform daily tours to report unsafe conditions and unsafe behaviors.
– Conduct pre-work risk assessments for third party contractor’s project.
– Endure proper waste management as per company and local regulations.
– Inspect machinery and tools and report HSE related defects.
– Follow up on internal and external audits and related non-conformity actions.
– Ensure records and document control.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor in industrial engineering, Fire and Safety engineering, or any related field.
– Certified Nebosh, Ohsas 18001 or ISO 45001, Ocupational health and safety accreditation from Ministry of Labour.
– (4-6) years of experience in the same field.
– Very good Command of English & Arabic.
– Very good computer skills.
Location:
– HSE & Sustainability Specialist will be based in Teeba Factory Al Hallabat – responsible for a plant, distribution center and a Farm located next to each other.
*Having a car is a must.
