Junior Communication Specialist
The “Support to the Rule of Law in Jordan” Project in Jordan is seeking a “Junior Communication Specialist” – for full-time base employment as per the below job profile.
Qualifications and specialist knowledge
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in communication roles, preferably in the context of EU-funded projects.
- Knowledge of EU Visibility and Communication guidelines and experience in their practical application.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of communication tasks.
- Creativity and ability to think strategically about communication and visibility.
- Proficiency in using communication tools and software.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality communication outputs.
Core tasks
You deal with the matters and job orders assigned to you after prior consultation with your line manager. You also respond promptly and competently to matters that fall within your assigned thematic area, where applicable in consultation with experienced specialists, and following consultation remain available to answer further enquiries.
You clearly communicate the relevant requirements, conditions and restrictions in terms of your capacity to act with due regard for compliance rules and P+R. You deal with the matters and job orders assigned to you with due regard for all the legal, contractual, socio-political and corporate policy requirements and the instructions of your line manager and follow up the processing and completion of those tasks.

You assist in formulating and producing targeted and relevant PR content that is to be disseminated via various internal and external platforms in connection with the objectives of the country office.
You also provide support in developing and implementing the communication strategy and guidelines for internal and external communications that are produced by the divisions and projects in the respective country and help to ensure that they are up to date. Working with experienced specialists, you resolve problems that arise in your area of responsibility on the basis of existing rules and draw attention to more complex challenges in your team.
In addition, you deal with all associated matters in your thematic area promptly and competently.
You perform the tasks assigned to you by your line manager, where required.
Main activities
- Familiarity with EU Visibility and Communication guidelines and ability to apply them to the project.
- Prepare visibility materials for the Rule of Law (RoL) project, including brochures, presentations, and other relevant communication materials.
- Take charge of the project's visibility during workshops, trainings, conferences, and other events, ensuring that the EU funding and project's goals and achievements are effectively communicated to the target audience.
- Develop innovative ideas and creative initiatives to increase the visibility and impact of the EU funded RoL project.
- Prepare a comprehensive visibility and communication roadmap for the RoL project, outlining the key communication objectives, target audiences, channels, and activities.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of communication activities and adjust strategies as needed to achieve project goals.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in communication, and proactively apply new approaches to enhance the project's visibility and reach.
