1. Being in charge of a company’s information technology and computer systems with duties
including assessing current processes, recommending software improvements and directing
the executive team on the best processes.
2. Managing the IT infrastructure of a company.
3. Developing and implementing new tools and technologies to improve efficiency in existing
processes or create new ones.
4. Coordinating with other departments within an organization as needed to ensure that
applications and software tools meet projects’ requirements and deadlines.
5. Setting objectives and strategies for the IT department.
6. Approving purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships
with IT providers.
7. Being responsible for all of an organization’s internal IT operations.
8. Using technology to streamline business processes.
9. Collaborating with the suppliers of IT infrastructure solutions for the organization.
10. Selecting and implementing suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and
help optimize their strategic benefits.
11. Ensuring that IT infrastructure supports the goals and requirements of the business.
12. Building processes for data protection and quality assurance.
13. Negotiating contracts with vendors and service providers for installing new technology and
training employees on its use.
14. Planning and strategizing to control costs and improve productivity and ensure return.
Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or a
related discipline.
– +5 years-experience in technical support, systems administration, or software development.
– Experience managing projects and teams.
– Working knowledge of multiple programming languages.
– Database administration experience and web development experience.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.
