Responsibilities:
- Ensure continuous process improvement and increasing efficiencies in the execution and delivery with safety as a priority
- Responsible for the promotion and practice of a safety culture amongst his team and participates in quality improvements activities
- Liaise mainly with Technical Planning and Resource Operation departments amongst other departments to ensure a seamless, efficient and high-performance workflow
- Support APM to ensure all production and planning targets (Quality/ Safety, on time delivery, cost) are achieved as agreed
- Actively engage with Pre-input/ Production Planning regarding work package evaluation, material, tool availability, and execution
- Actively support and promote a proactive planning-based approach and ensure that all plans and milestones set by the Planning team are properly implemented
- Actively support the APM to increase resource efficiency and effectiveness of assigned manpower focusing on manhours management, progressive card closure and turnaround time
- Engage with Operations Resources and APM to ensure that all assigned staff have the appropriate knowledge and the right skill for the assigned tasks and that appropriate certification privileges and customer interface training requirements are met for the assigned tasks
- Perform day to day activities to distribute tasks to APM/Trades and to assist APM/Trades in allocating manpower on his project to meet the daily targets and/or milestones, and schedule the work package task cards to correct milestones during maintenance execution
- Ensure all work pack tasks are progressively signed by the assigned staff and are duly certified by the C certifier during the aircraft maintenance input
- Support daily meetings with the APM and ensure APM’s Empower MX project status data is accurate for daily Operations meetings. Produce/present periodic and non-periodic reports as required
- Review the non-routine task cards during maintenance execution, using the routine and non-routine task card standards for estimation and planning purposes and provide progressive updates for Technical Planning database revisions
- Manage NRC process flow, including unevaluated NRCs – define and publish the critical path plan and reflows plan based on NRCs and AWRs utilizing the Empower MX status report
- Manage and check profitability through real-time monitoring of man-hours and materials against contractual caps, and execute man-hour and material validation prior to invoicing to deliver an effective labor rate (ELR)
- Monitor actual booked vs estimated man hours for routine and non-routine task cards, proactively resolve issues of overbooking during maintenance execution, and ensure 100% daily Fleet Cycle booking compliance
- Manage the progressive card closure of the maintenance paperwork, ensure accuracy & completeness in terms of references, dates, signatures, and stamps ahead of final C Cert stamp in accordance with Part 145 regulations, MOE & IPM are applicable, and that maintenance documents are secure during, between shifts and in the event of any work stoppages
- Manage the C Cert card closure report to ensure progressive card closure across all trades
- Ensure that the financial flow and optimal flow in Empower MX are adhered to during maintenance execution
- Validate the evaluation estimate of MHRS during execution, define the critical path, and provide details to APM which impact ground time
- Point of contact for follow-up on customer and production requests from Technical Planning after they dispatch the work package to hangars
- Maintain a disciplined approach and identify issues with returned tasks and documents and the staff allocated to those tasks and documents, resolve any persistent issues as required through collaboration with the APM
- Manage the Work Pack Specialist to ensure that the work package task cards are properly, printed, assembled, accounted, and scanned to Airvault or customer-designated recipient
- Adherence to quality-control procedures in the maintenance execution paperwork demonstrating a good understanding of Quality and Safety principles, support of the deliverable from Technical Planning pre-input
- Adhere to the company and department-approved systems, policies, and procedures while performing his/her duties
- Participate effectively in environmental protection programs (energy and water saving, water segregation, etc.), and notify of any environmental-related nonconformities
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities within the scope of his/her job
Requirements:
- B.Sc. degree or Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering or any related field
- 5 years of experience in MRO, Aviation, or related field
- Valid B1 or B2 license is an advantage
- Accredited certificates or courses in PMP, safety & quality, aircraft maintenance, six sigma, FTS, and CDCCL Level 2, 5S is an advantage
- Experience in delivering results through cross-functional working
- Knowledge of information systems, aircraft maintenance, and training modules
- Knowledge of contracts and finance/accounting is an advantage
- Knowledge of the production planning function
- Knowledge of Part145 regulations regarding aircraft maintenance, production control, and record keeping
- Knowledge of applicable technical manuals, service bulletins, maintenance manuals, maintenance forms, and work progress sheets
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, ERP systems and Empower MX advanced proficiency
