الوصف الوظيفي
- Maintains the general ledger and all related accounts with proper documentation and records of all company transactions.
- Reviews entries to the general and subsidiary ledgers to assure accuracy and compliance with the company's and established accounting principles.
- Responsible for monthly and year end closing of the general ledger including preparation of journal entries.
- Responsible for maintaining SAP and assisting accounting staff with questions and generating SAP reports and statements.
- Administers preparation of interim, year-end and comparative financial reports.
- Performs and provides analysis of current results to prior periods and/or budget.
- Prepares required government reports as directed by the CFO and responds to inquiries as necessary.
- Responsible for review and preparation of payroll records and processing of payroll checks and reports by outside payroll service.
- Maintains fixed asset records and control; determines depreciation terms/rates to apply to capitalized items.
- Ensures the subsidiary ledgers are reconciled with the control accounts.
- Reviews the General Ledgers and allocation of cost centers.
- Processes depreciation calculations monthly.
- Closes the general ledger every month, reporting final balances for monthly accounts.
- Reviews the month-end trial balance.
- Provides supervision and direction for subordinates including the following: (1) When openings occur in the department, interviews and recommends qualified candidates for staffing requirements; (2) Provides direction and instruction to subordinate staff, providing regular feedback and regular appraisals; (3) Counsels subordinates, up to and including discipline or termination recommendations; (4) Follows company management policies and procedures in the application of managing subordinates; (5) Participates in career plan development for subordinates.
- Adhere compliance to company policies and procedures at all times.
- Responsible for quality of work performed, monitoring and preparation of reports and documentation in accordance with the standards of acceptable and legal framework
- Guarantee protection of confidential business information.
- Critically appraise own function, and identify/correct any process improvement gaps.
- Proactively assess standard procedures and suggest efficient business process improvements.
- Any other requirements deemed necessary by superiors at any time within normal working hours.
- Willing to travel to Africa
المهارات
- Bachelor of accounting, Finance or relevant degree.
- Apt in handling financial tasks like budgeting, planning, and calculating variance which reduces business expenses.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills in partnership management and inter-department coordination.
- An analytical personality, apt in understanding data by investigating the interplay between various information.
- Presenting an in-depth analysis of the company's financial statements through concise reports.
- Qualified Microsoft Suite professional with a proven track record of implementing technology in financial tasks.
