Welding Technologies trainer
The assignment is to be implemented by a welding Technologies trainer supervised by the project manager in the Aqaba governorate. The welding Trainer will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive welding technology training program to students of varying skill levels. The trainer will also collaborate with other technical trainers to ensure that the training program adheres to industry standards and meets the evolving needs of the learners in a dynamic and rapidly changing job market.
Responsibilities
The welding Technologies trainer will provide support to the project team to achieve the following objectives.
1. Assess the development and delivery of a comprehensive welding technology training curriculum
2. Conduct hands-on training sessions to teach welding techniques, safety procedures, and welding codes and standards.
3. Assess student progress through tests, quizzes, and practical assessments and provide feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their welding skills.
4. Maintain a safe and clean training environment and ensure that all welding equipment is properly maintained and in good working order
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of trainee progress and communicate this information to center staff as needed, in order to ensure that the training program is meeting its objectives and to identify any necessary adjustments or improvements
6. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and advancements in welding technology by conducting research, attending professional development workshops and conferences, and collaborating with industry professionals.
7. Use different learning modalities and the ability to incorporate a range of teaching techniques into the training program, such as project-based learning, group work, and online instruction.
8. Provide mentorship and support to students, including advising on career pathways and post-graduation opportunities.
9. Expertise in various welding techniques, including shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), and flux-cored arc welding (FCAW).
10. Experience in welding inspection and testing, and be able to teach students how to interpret test results.
Qualifications
The Welding trainer has to fulfill the following criteria:
l A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in welding technology or related field.
● Certification in welding technology or related field.
l Minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience in teaching welding technology, Vocational training experience.
● Experience with similar assignments.
● Able to take a collaborative approach as he she will work closely with project staff, partner staff, and other stakeholders throughout this assignment.
● Excellent communication and reports writing skills.
● Holds a ToT (Training of trainers) certificate.
● Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
l Fluency in English language, including strong reading, writing, and speaking skills, is a must for this position
l Proficient in various welding techniques, equipment, materials, and codes and standards.
● understanding of the systems and initiatives for vocational education and training
● The Candidate must be residing in Aqaba-Jordan.
Place of the assignment
The assignment will be carried out at the Aqaba governorate.
Time frame
This is a full-time position with a contract duration of 12 months.
