Job Summary:
We are looking for an accountant to join our fast-growing and dynamic team. The accountant’s role involves utilizing financial information to prepare and analyze reports, maintain accurate records, and provide support to internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of accounting principles along with experience in working with financial data and managing budgets. Prior experience working with Delaware-based companies is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepares all requirements needed to create the financial statements (annual budget), including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage payroll and benefits administration.
- Prepare and file tax returns.
- Prepares and enters accounting documents and information, by approved accounting standards. This includes performing monthly bank reconciliations and ensuring accurate records of financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Hand over the monthly trial balance and statement of profits and losses.
- Receive and verify invoices, and record them in the company financial system.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards.
- Analyze financial data and create reports for management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Proven +2 years of experience in accounting within the context of startup companies.
- Familiarity with accounting software, like Xero.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Experience in HR preferred.
And:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
