Maintenance Engineer for Calcium Carbonate Plant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance / Electromechanical Engineer to join our calcium carbonate plant maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our plant operates at peak performance by overseeing the maintenance and repair of all electromechanical equipment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement maintenance procedures to ensure that all equipment operates at peak performance and efficiency
Monitor and troubleshoot all electromechanical equipment, including motors, conveyors, pumps, and control systems
Perform preventative maintenance tasks on a regular schedule to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability
Respond to emergency maintenance requests and quickly resolve issues to prevent plant shutdowns
Collaborate with production teams to ensure that maintenance activities are scheduled and performed in a manner that minimizes impact on production
Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports, including equipment history and repair costs
Manage and supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure that all work is performed safely and efficiently
Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including forecasting future maintenance needs and costs

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field
At least 5 years of experience in maintenance and repair of electromechanical equipment in an industrial or manufacturing setting
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other maintenance software tools
Demonstrated experience in managing and supervising maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergency maintenance requestsFamiliarity with data analysis and reporting.
Expertise with electronics, electric circuits and familiarity with handling a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
Strong troubleshooting skills for addressing equipment failure.
Exhibits strong relationship-building skills for fostering client connections to help the company’s growth.
