ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Internews is seeking Project Coordinator for the “USAID Strengthening Civil Society and Media Systems Activity (Sawt)”. Working under the supervision of the Chief of Party (CoP), the Project Coordinator will help to coordinate and facilitate the implementation of Sawt activities, deliverables and reports. They will act as a link between Sawt management and the technical and operational staff in fulfilling project deliverables. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating Sawt Management’s external communications and meetings with key project stakeholders and following up with internal and external stakeholders on agendas, meeting outcomes, and action items. Additionally, they will support daily project office activities and provide general support to the Chief of Party.

- This role will be based in Amman, Jordan.
- This is a limited-duration position with an expected end date in March 2027.

DAY-TO-DAY TASKS will include:
- Provide executive assistance to Sawt’s Chief of Party (CoP) in spearheading project activities and deliverables.
- Act as the coordinator between Sawt management on the one hand and the technical/operational staff on the other in fulfilling project deliverables.
- Draft, type and format all documentation issued by Sawt management according to best practices and branding requirements.
- Arrange and manage Sawt management agenda, meetings, meeting minutes, and follow up with staff on action points.
- Assist in organizing major activities for Sawt as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of weekly, quarterly and annual reports for USAID.
- Support agenda development for meetings and communications with external partners and stakeholders.
- Track progress of activities and action items; follow up with relevant parties on deadlines and submission of deliverables.
- Provide support as requested with arranging travel, hotels, visas and other necessary preparations for SAWT management.
- Any other related duties assigned by the supervisor to ensure program success.

QUALIFICATIONS WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in English, management, business administration or another related field or equivalent lived/professional experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in office administration and coordination, preferably in a project related environment.
- Previous administrative experience in working with international donor funded projects or NGOs is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office software.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with persons from different backgrounds.
- Strong English & Arabic communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to priorities tasks in a fast-changing environment.
