Provides vital assistance to the project manager and is responsible for monitoring project schedule, budget, preparing project progress reports and liaising with key stakeholders in line with JRF’s guidelines and standard
Core Responsibilities
Produces statistical, analytical, and narrative reports, including reports on reporting requirements, project expiry dates as well as any other reports; to ensure projects output is achieved.Ensures timely distribution of all memos related to the project to all concerned staff and follows-up on actions required.Responsible for action plan and project’s budget follow up; to ensure that budget expenditure falls within project financial resources; develops and manages appropriate accounting system for the project in coordination with relevant finance staff.Develops and maintains productive working relationships with project stakeholders and team members to ensure the smooth implementation, cooperation and support of the project; carries out regular visits to monitor the project staff and project activities;Evaluates the project activities, establishes and implements mechanism to systematically assess the achievementof results, to ensure projects are deliverable.
Ensures that the project staff are implementing the project activities in accordance with the terms and conditions prescribed and approved in the project documents.
Reviews and updates work plan throughout the program with the guidance and management support from Program Manager; to ensure projects activities are matching with projects donors’ documents.Coordinates field officers’ day to day implementation of project activities; to ensure resources are utilized.Coordinates and manages relationships with the stakeholders of the project, including beneficiaries, contractors, partners, local government, and other organizations to ensure the coherence among partners Ensures that the project staff are implementing the project activities in accordance with the terms and conditions prescribed and approved in the project documents.Review and update work plan throughout the program with the guidance and management support from Program ManagerProvide business mentorship and technical expertise to the youth ventures based on the projects working plans
Self-Management:
Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all competencies and skills required to perform the roleSets performance goals in the beginning of the year after discussion with the line manager and ensures those goals are achieved during the course of the yearIdentifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the line manager to ensure that the required training is arranged and attendedEnsures detailed and accurate documentation and reporting relating to the requirements of the function.Manages, prioritizes and organizes self, relating to additional tasks requested by Function Management to support the Foundation achieve its business plan.Performs other responsibilities and tasks as required or as directed by management from time to timeUphold the code of conduct and PSEA-related policiesActively participate in SEA-related trainings and awareness-raising efforts, including support for dissemination of PSEA material.Report allegations of SEA through the designated reporting channelsParticipate in investigations of SEA allegations as appropriateIdentify and mitigate/avoid SEA-related programmer risks (particularly for personnel involved in programming)
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in management, economics, international development, social science, or any other relevant field5-8 years of experience.Strong English and Arabic language skills (written and spoken)Experience in international development or humanitarian assistance projects.Experience in project implementation and support.
