Consultant Project Management Associate

HR Technology and Analytics Branch (HRMOI) is responsible for the development and implementation of the HR Technology strategy and Roadmap that enables efficient and effective HR business processes and activities while ensuring compliance with HR Policies and legislative requirements.

WFP has started the implementation of Workday Human Capital Management and is currently looking for an associate to join the Project Management team.
The position reports directly to the Senior Project Manager. It coordinates closely with the PMO Coordinator and the HCM Functional Leads in order to ensure a successful project delivery and deployment. The incumbent will focus on status reporting, adherence and support for Workday methodology and delivery standards, supporting team for schedule, data validation, testing, and will have exposure to new tools and technology in support of the workstreams as they move through the various stages of the implementation.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The specific responsibilities of the incumbent include, but are not limited to:
1. Support the Project in producing (complete and to high quality) all the deliverables in scope
2. Ensure, completion and quality of all required documentation and reviews as prescribed by the Workday methodology and WFP timeline;
3. Contribute to planning for the HCM activities;
4. Contribute to design, test, validation and delivery of Workday deliverables as required;
5. Support in monitoring and maintaining the project plan status, including accurate and up-to-date tracking of consolidated schedules, key milestones, etc.
6. Contribute to monitoring and reporting on project stream status and progress via internal status reporting tools;
7. Support the HCM Functional Leads in ensuring the project is adequately resourced;
8. Support Functional Leads in reviewing and ensuring the closure of Action Items for the project, as well as Issues and Risks are managed effectively with stakeholders
9. Attend project testing sessions, updating the applicable Smart Sheets or Teams reporting tools as required;
10. Liaise with the Business Process Owners (BPOs) and Business Process Experts (BPEs), project team members, including scheduling meetings and planning team/project activities, functional reviews, test, validation and field level review support
11. Monitor and follow-up with Workday Delivery Assurance Checkpoints to ensure compliance and scheduled reviews with WFP.
12. Other tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: Bachelor Level University Degree with experience in Information Systems, Human Resources, Project Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in the area of Project Control, Human Resources, and/or Business Analysis
Experience in the development of and/or providing Quality Assurance and support for project documentation such as business cases, project plans, business processes, business requirements, test plans and test reports.
Experience in creating and delivering concise and affective communication artifacts, such as PowerPoint presentations, timelines, status reports, RAID logs and Gap Analysis required
Ability to support HR, FIN, IT and field stakeholders/SMEs to map project priorities and goals to the outcomes and deliverables in scope
Support test planning, scenario development and execution as assigned
Experience with HR technology implementation and change support on a global scale
Experience in project management monitoring and reporting
Candidates with professional HR field experience or project management training and/or certifications with exposure to methodologies, tools, and best practices are preferred.
Knowledge & Skills: Proven ability to work with geographically-distributed stakeholders to successfully deliver project outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to respect diversity and work effectively in a multi-cultural environment and work with a large and diverse team.
Expertise in digital communication tools and training mediums to apply to audience and cultural needs
Experience working in large, complex, international organizations
HR or Project Management certifications preferred
Languages: Fluency in oral and written English with an intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) or Portuguese (one of WFP’s working languages).
